Being in the same outfit, the 91st Air Refueling Squadron, as one David B. Adkins, aka the comedian Sinbad, is my military claim to fame. He was always the comedian around the barracks. So much so that it got to be pretty old, but look where it got him. I remember once he tried out for the AF basketball team, didn't make it, bad knees, but he decided since his TDY orders said X number of days, he was going to take X number of days and visit mom and pop. Article 15 material, very light punishment though, he was an Air Refueling Specialist otherwise known as a boom operator, so his service were in demand. He was a very nice fellow, active in big brothers, big sisters, a real giver. David was an active cowboy action for awhile, don't know if he's still at it or not.
