Are the original Mauser 98 .22 conversions desirable? I have one that was "brought back". It is made by Erma and is complete in the wooden storage case. It is quite a nice piece that was made in 1937. Is there any information out there on these conversions and their possible value?
Thanks,

They have never been common. If every piece is there and serial numbers match (not often) 2 mags, and the tool it will sell in the 1000 range, give or take!

It is all there in the Erma marked case. Anything that is numbered matches. It has both magazines and the tool. I appreciate the information.

Then I would say 1000 plus! Mine is mis-matched, 2 dates on mags, fitted case is laminated wood w/no marks, it is complte tho. So 1000 maybe. It all depends on how bad the buyer wants it! The users just did not pay attention to numbers when they put them away after use.
