View Full Version : Sniper rifles on Ultimate Weapons
I watched Ultimate Weapons last night on the Military Channel featuring the top 10 modern sniper rifles. Really cool rifles. Gives a new meaning to "reach out and touch someone". It would be nice to have them in my collection. I wouldn't want to be one of the bad guys on the receiving end of one of those rounds. :headbang:

Good equipment makes it easier but still the man pulling the trigger and his spotter, if he has one, makes it happen.

I would have given my left arm for some of the equipment they have now.
It's funny that most of them are based on 100+ year old bolt action Mauser technology.

If you gave your left arm, how would you hold the rifle?;)

With my right arm. I am an ambidexterous shooter.
I used some of this equipment and it is very helpful and makes life a bit easier. Except the electric toys they have and makes it easier for the enemy to locate you. But what should i do with an extra left arm, hhmmmm ???:icon_scratch:

I'm not a serious F class shooter, but I have dabbled with scoped rifles quite a bit. I'm not a good iron sight shooter, but I hunted coyotes in AZ seriously for 12 years, and I shot a few 500/600/1000 yard matches with my 7mm Sendero and my flattop AR15. That 7mm will hit you in the eye at 1000 yards if I do my part, I'd hate to be on the other end of some of these shooters and rifles!:1948:

do not underestimate an old bp long bbl. .50 cal or .45. they can reach out an tickel yer fancy with regularity.
Yep, nothing like a 1,000 yard F Class Match, to see what you, your LR tactical rifle, and your load are capable of.
