Can anyone help identify these scabbards? A friend has several, at least old leather scabbards. They are about 22 1/2" long with a brass "ball" tip.
They are for a triangular shaped bayonet.
The scabbard has a leather collar around the top and a couple inch long piece leather that might buckle into some kind of frog? It has holes in it for the buckle.
I would think these are American as he has allot of them but doesnt remember where from.
He has a sizable antique business and has had a long time.
I will try and get photos.
Just trying to help him out as well as anyone that might need one of these
Thanks
