Can anyone identify this rifle? It looks a bit like a CG 80, with a scope mounted and perhaps the barrel trimmed.

Identified as a "Custom Swedish Mauser in 6.5x55"

no idea what a CG-80 is but it does look like a Swed action.

The Swedes made a number of match versions of their Mauser rifles. The first was the FSR M96's...basically an M96 with special aperture sights...here are two of mine, one with a Soderin sight and the other with a Helqvist rear sight.

In the 60's, the Swede's brought out a heavier barrel, target stocked version of the M96 known as the CG63 (Carl Gustav). Here is a pic of my CG63

In the early 80's, the Swede's updated their CG63 with a heavier barrel and stock, and called it the CG80. Here is a pic of my CG 80

They made several versions of the CG 80, including one with a shorter barrel and a plastic stock. The original post conatins a picture of a rifle that was on auction and it looks a bit like the shorter barrel CG 80, which I do not have.

related note on your Swedes but OT. A lodge bro had a military Swedish Krag with a bull barrel that was missing the rear target peep site, he looked for 10 years & never found it, I suspect that the predessor to your sights would be correct........it was sold at his auction, unsure where it is now.
