View Full Version : Mauser Stock Identification
I'm trying to identify this Mauser stock in the pics. It is solid walnut. When it has a K98 in it, there is a gap by the receiver ring (the stock inletting is about 1/4" longer than the K98 receiver ring).
Are you sure the action you're using to check it isn't an Intermediate Large Ring 98 action?

Yes.
I posted these pics on another forum. One guys says the stock is from an FN Mauser, but the hand guard is wrong (off of a German Mauser), especially the location of the SN on the stock above the stock bolt. I googled that and found that the FN Mauser Model 1930 certainly looks like the stock. The color tone is even right.
Many FN mausers had the serial in that place.
