I know Holland and Holland did many but is this one of the ones they did. The scope and mount are from a later rifle as it is a '45 dated No.32 III scope the rifle has a scope number behind the bolt that does not match the rifle. the rifle has TR on the left side if the metal wrist area and a serif T on the left side o the receiver. There is a what looks like an eagle head then SL over N over 74 behind the trigger guard. the rifle appears unissued and is painted black. The wood looks new and has a matching s/n on the front bottom of the fore end piece.
The original scope number on the stock is 21372 the scope on the rifle is s/n 23718 with mount marked X 33564 rifle s/n.

Do you have pictures of the top rear of receiver and right front around the receiver ring? Is there an S51 on the btm of the stock. As Peter Laidler has said. " What is original?" On the top of the butt wrist is there a scope number? Looks like original components to me. H&H TR is correct but I wouldn't hazard who did the FTR adding the T to the side wall and staking the screws. Lots of things the pro's can tell you that I just can't recall today.
Cheers
