Years back the Navy re-built M21 snipers using commercial "Super Sniper" 10X 40/42 mm scopes. On subsquent up-dates these were scrapped. I was lucky enough to obtain two, a B&L and a Tasco from a family member of the contractor. Here is the Tasco mounted on my home made M25 (M1A). The rings and mount were scrapped also.

It's a little more complicated than that; There are some others floating about such as Nightforce or USO...etc

Night force scopes are mounted on 300 win mags and USO holds no current Military contracts for scopes on 308 rifles.

The listed scopes are the issue scopes for the rifles in question. You will find individuals especially in SOCOM using pretty much anything they want, but that don't make it issue.
