I just got this knife back from Mike Silvey. He cleaned it up a little for me. It had some scratches on the blade. He did a great job. These WW2 knives are getting hard to find.

As you probably alredy know.... the older Randals thru RVN service era command a premium over most of their newer pieces.......... be very careful on letting anyone"clean" or sharpen them.............

I would think Mike Silvey could be trusted with the work. A gentleman, a scholar in the field and a load of zen savvy!

Kurtflys, thanks for sharing that WW2 Randall. Is it by chance one of the Springfield knives?

Now that is one good looking knife. I am envious.

Beautiful! The wait is 4 1/2 years now, ordered a 7" Model 1 last week ($365). Always regret I didn't order one before deployment in '68.

Couple guys I knew had Randalls in VN. Most had Bucks, K Bars or just bayonets.
No real difference in actual use except the Randalls caused concern if lost and tended to get babied.
Never saw the advantage to spending hundreds of dollars on something so easily lost and no better than a relatively cheapie.
I got a couple in my collection of stuff. Nice knives.
