pretty....... obviously you were able to convince your lady that you needed a good carry piece...........I need to take lessons on how to do that from you, Scott, John H & Johnny Pep..........Heck I just found second/third careers for you 4 bums.......... you'ld all make a mint too.......... think of the classes you guys could give at the NRA annual show etc.......

Thanks for the kind words. This pistol came with a 1913 Navy, an early Springfield and a Rem UMC. I've already shown pictures of the later two but will post pictures of the Navy soon.

Where were RemUMC pistols produced? Was there a preference to retain Colt produced pistols in US inventory after either WW1 or 2?

The Rem-UMC plant was set up in Bridgeport, Conn. and only ended up producing 21,676 pistols. I don't believe their was any preference as to which pistols were kept in use after the wars. It was just a matter of which were working and which weren't. If a pistol was in good working condition, it would continue to be used. There were so few of the Rem-UMC pistols as compared to Colts that they were not seen nearly as often.

Your're right, I forgot about the additional 160 pistols that were delivered in April and 3 more in May of 1919....
