View Full Version : Please! Help with identifying ammo cans.....
Hello everyone, thanks for having me. I'm Mark. I wanted to ask a question or two about some ammo cans that I have. I've looked around for info regarding the stamped markings, but have come up empty. They are battleship grey. The boxes are approximately 5 3/4" wide, 10 1/8" high, and 11 1/4" long. The stamp says CONT PA 19 S.C.F. I put them up on a local bulletin board for sale, and a few people went nuts for them. I was wondering on a general value of each one. All complete, slight surface rust, all have gaskets and are totally waterproof. Please let me know, thanks again!

Thank you Dan. I checked there before I posted here, found just a vague reference to what I have. Still searching.... Thanks again.

You mean this type ?

It is one of the 4-5 different hight versions of the .50 cal can. that are available.
This one is common around air bases , as it is a standard container for the decoy flares . The next two taller cans are for night vision devices .
The PA19 is perfect for eight 60mm WW2 dummy mortar rounds . Glue 8 PCV unions into a 2X4 tube rectangle , slip it into the can , insert rounds.
