Please ignore the final selling price and "the story" in the description. Looks like a garden variety low number 03. What would you guess the value of this? TIA.

I'd give it a higher rating than a "garden variety" -- it appears to be a WWI rebuild, although I'm not sure if the handguard is a WWI or Remington. I would agree at $1625 it is overpriced, espoecially with the virtual lack of a finish.
