picked up a barreled action(my thanks to packrat2). Put a finger groove stock on her.
Springfield Armory 1217380
U.S.M.C. 10-43 barrel
I hope I've done it justice.
Looks like a good one. Is that a crack I see in the stock behing the tang? A very common problem.
yes it's a very shallow crack I have seen them on vertually every stock I looked to buy

Dom13, To keep the crack from getting larger, I suggest you relieve the wood behind the tang with a Harbor Freight dremel tool kit....It plugs into a wall socket, but it is stepped down to 12 volts...This is ideal for working on wood...It is a low speed....If you try to be agressive with the tool, it binds up, and will not run...Currently it is on sale for 10.99...I would then use some water thin crazy glue, such as "hot shot" to wick into the crack...Lastly I would get the kicker, know as the accleator from a wood craft shop, to instantly cure the glue....It will be a PIA to get these items, but it will be cheaper than a stock....regards
