With a little more than 2 hours to go in the auction, there's a really nice stock and handguard on Gunbroker that is about as nice as any that one could hope to find. Check it out on the link below! Look at those eagle stamps! I've no connection to the auction. Wish that I had a barreled action for it.

I wish I could afford his prices. I have a nice action in an incorrect stock, but, then, who here probably doesn't. Out of my price range since I hit retirement.

The stock specificly came off of a Springfield Armory 03 that was made in 1918. I'm betting that somebody who's looked at it will put a bid in before the bell. I hope that whoever it is realizes that with those Eagle Stamps, it wouldn't be correct for any other 1903 other than one made at Springfield Armory in 1918.

Oops, sorry, that was an eBay link, not a Gunbroker link. Anyway, it took you to the auction with the stock on it. If I would've needed it. I'd have paid the opening bid. Who knows, I might find an SA 1918 barreled action soon and contact the owner of the stock.
