I recently bought this spotting scope at a yard sale. Any ideas with who made the scope and what it is worth? I don't see any name on the scope.
Looks like an old Kowa.

How much did it cost if the question is not out of line?

cchandler74, I just found your post and may be able t o help. We had scopes that looked like that as USAR rifle team equipment in the 1960's. They had a plate with the serial number attached with some kind of adhesive that did not hold them very well. They were also prone to get moisture inside. I believe the brand name was Buhl. The maker's name was on he plate with the sn. Later we were able to get some M49 scopes that were much better.
