I have a friend who came over asking me to sell these for him. He doesn't do the internet and really isn't into collector guns. He was asking me what I thought they were worth. And for the first time in a long time, I don't have a clue.

They are consecutive Commercial colts from 1915 that were sent to Argentina. Both the condition is down, and have small import stamps on the bottom of the trigger guard. One has a replaced barrel, and both don't have the original mags.

But the real value on these would be the consecutive serials. These are 98 years old and I have never seen consecutive serials on Pre-WW1 Colts before.

I usually don't ask anymore on forums what people think items would be worth, but what do you guys think? I can't imagine there is very many consecutive serials from this timeframe out there. And this is something that is so out there, I have no clue what they would bring. Anyone else out there see another set like this sell? I know some people pay huge amounts of money for consecutive serials in any condition.

I collected Colt Thompsons for many years
Back in 2007 at Knob Creek there was a consecutive pair of Colt Thompsons listed at $95,000.
The same vendor had a similar condition Colt in the same 3 digit range for $32,500.
In this instance the vendor placed a 50% premium on the fact they were consecutively numbered.
Can't say if the same applies to Colt pistols.

I think sarco (?) Imported a large number of these, there were a large number of consecutives. They were pretty beat up, mixed parts, and import marked. The few that I saw were in embarassingly bad shape. I don't know if they still have them, but you could call and see what the asking price was (I just can't remember off the top of my head....)

I would think 2400 for the pair. Usually these sell for 6-700 each. Import mark kills them.

They were imported by Century Arms Inc, St Albans, VT not to be confused with Century International Arms Delray Beach, FL. The condition of both is typically rough as were/are the pistols that were imported by them and others from Argentina. JDL Ent brought a large number of U.S. made and Sistemas awhile back also. The fact that they have sequential number is kind of neat, but personally it doesn't add much value for me. I could see them fetching around $800 ~ on one of the gun sale sites a piece. YMMV
