Interesting serial number on an 03-A3

Just happened to notice the very poor registration and the double strike on the 3. It seems like this one was numbered by hand or something.

Not a bad rifle for $200. Possibly the die slipped a bit. At the time Remington was pumping these out at about 125 finished rifles per hour.

That rifle deserves to be de-sporterized. And that stock would look kind of classy compared to the typical Fajen/Bishop on an already properly done sporter.
