How much should I expect to pay for the big Brophy book "The Springfield 1903 Rifles" I think it's about 600 pages and was printed in 1985 and 1988.

I believe retail is about $75.00. I bought a new copy on Amazon.com 3 or 4 years ago for $45.00.

Well worth getting. I consider it the bible of 03s (old testament).

Look on www.addall.com under either "new" or "used" - it will tell you the cheapest price at literally dozens of online book sites. Believe me, there is QUITE a difference!!

Check Bookfinder.com. I found my copy several years ago. They list new and used books and who has them, and their prices.

Can anyone please tell me if the later edition has updated information in it over the earlier edition? I've got the former but want to buy the updated printing if it's actually updated.

In terms of information, it hasn't changed since 1985. It has been a generation since Brophy wrote the book. It is in need of updating and reorganization.
