Did the early 03A4 "C" stocks, or any for that matter, have a 'flaming bomb' stamped at the tip ?

In my opinion yes.

yes, this was a Remington mark,
should also be a bomb stamped by the butt on the bottom side as well.

The early Springfield made C stocks that were converted for the A4's did not have the bombs stamped there. Ray

no, they were stamped S.. and J in the cutoff area,..
howver genuine stocks of that time frame will also be marked FJA RA and crossed cannons..as well as the gallery stamps ahead of the trigger guard,
only the first 1000 A4s came with these stocks..

What about the A4 stocks made by the Japanese during the Korean War?

Here's my two A4's w/the early Springfield stocks. Besides the stamps they have hand cut notches for the bolts and a hand cut grove inside the stock for the A3 straight upper hand guard metal end cap ring. Also the forearms of the stocks are a bit thinner and have a more squared bottom configuration. Ray

iv had a A4 with Asian markings as well. it had a standard G.I. Keystone stock
the stocks that Ray has pictured are common to what iv seen..

Bill Rica had one at the Baltimore show in March. After I saw it and talked to him, I checked the one I have on my A4 clone and I believe it also is one of the Japanese made A4 stocks made during the Korean War. There are no markings on the stock, but the fore end is dovetailed onto the rest of the stock, with the joint hidden by the rear barrel band. Here's a shot of the rifle with the stock:
