Anyone have a reference for a Japanese makers mark of the number 60 inside a diamond? Possibly an 09 in a diamond.

I have searched the webs, my books and asked in the bayonet forums and can't even find anyone else trying to find out what it is. My buddy says he is sure he has seen one before....but I think I got this one from him...LOL

These 60 diamond bayonets were made in a Chinese Arsenal post WWII. They are a T-30 copy.
Reference is Ray LaBar's excellent book pg. 418.

Thank you, I was amazed that I could find darn near every Chinese and Korean stamp and arsenal mark online but not this one. This also solidifies my decision to pay the money and get a copy of his book. I kind of wonder though, since it is in a South Korean scabbard just how long of a story it has to tell.

As soon as I finished typing that, a light went on in my head. I checked and sure enough, I have an odd scabbard with crude finish and typical CHINESE GREEN PAINT.

I'm just going to assume I swapped it into the Korean scabbard at some point and forgot about it.

Long and short, it sold on ebay and this photo commemorates the event.

Tulsa has been really good to me. Seems every trip I pick up atleast a couple of $75 bayonets, sometimes $60 and slide the scabbard up to look at the stamp and it is a Jinsen or a slab side or some other oddity that should be double or more the price.
