I agree, Mike, but with originals virtually non-existent, and the exisitng alternative being the ebay garbage from China, I think I will give a set a try.
As an aside, Scientific American did DNA scans on leather out of China several years ago. They published origin species from our debt holder and found that cows were in the minority. After analyzing numerous samples they confirmed the use of cats dogs and even rats! Makes me sick every time I see those bomber jackets that have all those small pieces sewn together. Woof!!
