One of the cases I was full-length sizing seemed harder to
go into the die and came out with an elongated neck.
When I checked, it was a 204 Ruger ! I'd never even heard
of that caliber, not that I'm particularly up-to-date on modern
cartridges being a dinosaur who shoots obsolete rifles.
223 is my venture into the modern age.
My scavenging will need to be more selective in future.

There's lots of new cartridges out there, that could also happen with others. Where I pick up range brass, its a law enforcement range or our rifle ranges, virtually nobody is using those type rounds. Of those that do, very few if anyone loses cases like .204 Ruger as they are mainly used in bolt guns at our place. I'm still waiting to find a .45 GAP.

Not much range brass to pick up anymore. Mostly gone by the time i get there. A club member hits the ranges before daylight with a flashlight. He may miss a few but very few.

Just use lots of lube and most cases will go in and come out if they fit the shell holder properly.
