Bushmaster Gas Piston Rifles

Did Bushmaster stop making their Gas Piston rifle? Does anybody have any information as to their reliability, Does anybody have any information on why they discontinued their gas piston rifles?

I bought one of their piston uppers back in 2006. Aside from having the roll pin that goes in the front sight base to hold the gas tube in place falling out I've had no problems with it. Easy to clean and very reliable. Don't know why they don't make them anymore.
