My friend picked this up last month and asked me to post it here. Has sanded ww2 cartouche too. Still visible. I tried to load another-closer pic but it's impossible on my phone. The flash obscured the line inside the A in the "R.A" and the period. I have one like it I tried to load again..but to no avail. Mine is a lighter strike than this one.

Sir,
Is the buttstock drilled (starter holes) in the proper place for the brass screws that secure the cheek pad to the stock? Also, I am not familiar with the "closed box" SA over RA stamp on your stock. I think that is the first one I have ever seen. I hope that more experienced posters than me will weigh in on that stamping. Does the cheek pad have three equal sized felt spacers inside? The ink stamp looks good to me. Thank you and Happy New Year, George in NH :)

Ho George, thanks. ...yes it is drilled and the cheek pad has what looks like large, medium and small felt type pads. HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
I've never seen the cartouche down on the butt stock like that, it's always on the right side of stock under the receiver, between the trigger and under the rear sight!! Happy New Years to y'all!!
