the front attach thumb screw is damaged, it needs to be replaced, and i do not want to try to remove front end of tube on a 70 year old scope that has perfect optics
I can (with much patience and time) remove the damaged piece inside and replace it, have to very very carefully drill through the remaining stud (it somehow got wringed off and needs to be replaced, mount is good but adj screw is history)
since this is american made probably us measurment threads, and i possibly could even go to hardware store and find a blued hex keyed bolt or even allen head for temporary until a replacement can be found. this scope is off a original 41 sniper
