Not surprising at all. I wish there were atleast a few good photos with the story. My old Squadron commander found an entire B-29 just off the runway on Guam. It was at the bottom of the cliff below the runway and no one had stomped through that part of the jungle for 50+ years. The crew was easily identified by using the tail number and seat positions as they were all still strapped in. EOD had to disarm the aircraft as the 20mm cannons were still loaded.

Looks like they dug through a couple feet of global warming.
Thanks for the link to the pics, I found it confusing to see the "Japanese grenades" which were actually Mills Bombs. Atleast they knew they were grenades.
