the sporting rifle Remington made from the 1917 after WWI. did it share the same cracked receiver problem during rebarreling as some of the 1917's exibited?

a number of Model 30 (and 720) rifles, I have never observed one with a cracked receiver.

I have one in my collection which has been rebarreled, probably by Rem., no crack. Others I have are original. I have read only the Eddystone rifles had this problem, yes, Eddystone was Rem. but never heard ones made at Rem. plant had a problem. If it was really a problem, some say not!

take some time and search the subject or cracked 1917s,
some short notes..
Remington and Eddsytone were controlled by Remington but not the same.
all 3 makers got the steel from the same place...midvale steel.
17s and 14s were made with 3.5% nickle steel, and surface hardened, doubt any human would have enough muscle to crack one from crush pressure.
iv seen more Winchesters wiith cracks then Eddystones.
cracks iv seen are all in the same area and likely from the same issue...
from miss use of tools, using the wrong tool, loose tool, or using a tool in the wrong way. Not from crush force pressure.
all 1917s were barreled by hand, with the same type of tools when new, not by air tools or other machine...
