98 Mauser sling info??

I have an old leather sling that am told might be for the WWI German 98 Mauser.
I have one of the rifles so would like to know if it is the correct sling?
Can anyone tell me where I might find a photo of such a sling so I can compare?
Mine is just a simple single starp with slots and metal buttons on each end.
There is an oval shapped stamping on the sling with writing but all I think I can make out is the word "Berlin"??
If I had some pics to look at it would help.

Not for a Gew. 98 rifle. or any German WW1 or WW11 military rifle I am aware of. May have been/probably made for a sporting rifle.
