Spotting scope stand I built

I built this from parts. The post, base (cast iron), cross support and clamp were a second had store purchase. I fabricated the block. I had to do it twice because I broke a tap bit. I guessed the wrong diameter. I got the knobs from Woodcraft. I built it for benchrest and prone. I have less than $20 in it. I may paint the base and some of the other parts.

very nice, knobs off the handles of push lawnmowers come in handy for that kind of stuff also.

Thanks. First time building something resembling precision, although the camera angles don't show that the knobs don't go straight in. I lucked out on finding the parts. I might build another one for standng.

Does anyone know anything about the scope? It say AccuSpot on the label. It came with a Creedmoor cover, so I assumed it was sold through them. It's a pretty sharp little bugger. TIA

Mine came from Champion's Choice and has their name on the label. But it looks exactly like yours. I don't use it anymore, went to a Kowa, but I keep it to loan to our juniors. One piece of advice I have is regarding the eyepiece scope cap, make sure you screw the eyepiece focus all the way down before you put the cap on. If you leave the eyepiece screwed out, you'll jam the scope cap on it. I did this and I couldn't get the cap off without cutting it to relieve the pressure. Did that shortly after buying it and, luckily, Champions Choice sold replacement caps. I no longer see the scope in their catalog but they carried them for years. I need to build a stand for it like you did, that's pretty slick.
