I happen to have a documented .380 Auto that was issued to a Army
general in 1945. Alas, no belt, holster was available with it. I do have the
original shipping box, papers, etc. that identify the owner.
Any hope of finding one of these? I've looked for years and no luck. There
are some repro's out there made in Asia but that's not what I'm looking for

They do come up on Ebay and Gunbroker from time to time. Last year, MajGen Charles J. Denholm's family sold his weapon, holster and belt after he died. Don't recall what it went for on gunbroker.

You would need the russet for one issued in 1945. For some reason I have seen more of the holsters than the belts.

Thanks, Johnny for your expertise, Do you happen to know a reliable person or person(s) who deals in this
material? I've ben burned few times and would like to avoid repeats.
Thanks again. Mike

I sure don't. They come up so seldom that you just have to spot them before anyone else.
Most of the ones I've seen were accompanied by the pistol and documented as to who owned them.Very seldom have I seen the holster or belt for sale by themselves.
