Not fo' me.
I see near mint 03A3's Down Here for around $1200 to $1500 regularly.
I bought my nearly totally original RIA 1913 03 for $1400, WITH 1913 sling and bayonet.

CMP auctions nearly always bring in prices significantly over the actual worth. It would be a mistake to judge the actual worth by their results.

I am pleased to see that the rifle is fetching a healthy sum. When I inspected the rifle several months ago, I was impressed and decided to pull it for the auction to keep Bubba and his hacksaw from getting it.
Keep an eye out! I've got more stuff coming!

Wow. I bought an unissued condition 03A3 on Gunbroker just a few years ago for $900

Got my untouched Remington WW2 03A3 a few years (1990's) back for $400.

I got my Smith-Corona for $180 in the late 80's and my son-in-law's father gave me my Remington.

I think the price is a bit silly, but the buyer gets a gun straight out of US Ordnance control - it is VERY unlikely to be anything but what it appears to be. With all the forgeries and fakes, an identical gun, but with CMP/DCM paperwork, should command a premium over a gun that is totally unknown. But I would think that premium would be a couple hundred dollars on an 03A3 - but maybe a lot more on an M1D or an M1A1 Paratrooper carbine, or an 03A4, for examples. CC

About $6000 more than it's worth, but, hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! :D

Nothing ... other than the fact it was a nice Remington M1903A3 and auctioned by the CMP.

And the fact $20. to them is pocket change.. Must be nice to have a lot of money....
