I wasn't sure where to post this one, considering the chambering I thought it best to place it here in the Krag forum.

I'm not connected to the sale nor seller in any way, just thought it was an interesting rifle that you guys would like to see and gab about :)

Was there a stacking swivel on these rifles? Looks to be missing it if there was.

What a tragedy - heavily wire brushed and the stock sanded and Varathaned by some well-intentioned (I suppose) idiot. I'm sure you are correct about the swivel being missing.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stacking swivel is missing.

And trying to sell it for 5000. Double GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aside from the cosmetic trasvesty it looks like it is intact. I would want to see a fired cartridge case to make sure the chamber is not hosed.

They had a handguard too, didn't they? I know I snagged one of ebay once that was listed as a Krag handguard. Doubled my money on that one.

Now, that's a nice rifle - but - not being a student of the 1895, I have to ask (w/no slight intended): original or Browning clone?
