Maybe demilled as the hole looks to be in the chamber area.

It is an M3 Smoke Mortar as used by the US M4 Sherman tank series. Looks like it has some condition issues.

Thanks, Charlie. Can always count on you for good info! So we're looking for the guy with the rusty M4 Sherman? Just what he needs... :)
