I stopped at a small gun-store yesterday specifically to wheedle on them a bit on a Parker shotgun price and to just look around.....got the old shotgun bought.
While I was waiting I briefly examined a slick old Springfield 1903 rifle in a 'C' stock. A high numbered gun with a 1920's dated barrel(if I recall properly)....
I really didn't pay that much attention to the Springfield as I had a 'Trojan' on my mind...however as soon as I drove off..I got a feeling I should've looked the Springer 03 over better...could possibly be a National match rifle setting right there in front of me and I set it back on the rack..
Really I don't think it's a NM rifle...but I don't know nuthin' about NM 1903 rifles either.
So just what clues do I look for if I go back and examine the 1903 Springfield?
