Between July and November of 1943 but to get the exact shipping date it would take someone with a copy of the Ithaca shipping records that cover the period prior to May 24th 1944 which was prior to Ithaca shipping in consecutively numbered lots. Searching those records can be quite a chore. One thing I can tell you is that it is one of the 60,000 Ithaca pistols with serial numbers duplicated by Colt.

Hi everyone! Sn 1212904? Ithacas are all US Army stamped? Destination from Ordnance depot above indicated?

Only the Model 1911 pistols through serial number 110000 that were shipped to the Navy were marked Model of 1911 U.S. Navy. After that all pistols regardless of destination were marked with the U.S. ARMY marking.

One of the early references notes that some Model 1911 pistols were originally marked with MODEL OF 1911 U.S.M.C., but this is totally false. This led to the marking being faked on more than a few Model 1911 pistols.

@Johnny P. Thank you very much! How can I find who belonged it or at least who was shipped Army, Navy, Usaf or others. It has double stamp on slide.

Unless someone notices your post and has the time to search through the records for your serial number, there is no other source.

What does the number on the right side of the trigger Guard mean? There is a 0.

Not sure on the Ithaca, but the number on the right side of the trigger guard on the Colt identified the assembler. Could be the same thing.
