I believe the grooves were cut after blueing.
I am by no means am an expert on theses guns but i have been a machinist for 28 years and am getting familiar with model 12 trench guns.
The model 12 trench gun barrels are thicker than regular barrels. They are about .780 outside diameter on the first 4 inches of the barrel. Also the cutouts should have threads on them for the screws in the heat shield. It appears that whoever modified this barrel just cut it out to maybe bigger than the outside diameter of the screws so they would pass through without engaging any threads. Also CYL is also missing as someone has pointed out.
Looks like a Numrich repro..bomb not correct.

I think Dave L is right. The Ordnance bomb is a bit off.
Not sure about the Winchester proof, though. Need better photos or have to see it in person.
the pix of the proof is way too grainy for me to be able to tell..........
