Received a sporter. Bolt when removed had been electro penciled with serial #. Why bother? Mark 1 receiver.

Since the Mark 1 has been modified with a scope. It could be that the owner had 2 similar rifles and wanted to keep the bots separate so serialize the bolts to keep them with the correct rifle.
