I recently picked up a 1911a1 Remington Rand on gunbroker, it is serial number 10010xx. I believe this to be one of the lowest observed parkerized Remington Rands but am trying to find out more info on the switch from dulite to parkerizing. It appears to be all original, in about 95% condition. It has a dulite slide stop, thumb safety and trigger but wear patters suggest it is original to the gun. I know they are all supposed to be parked, but I am thinking this early into the transition they would use up what they had on hand.

Anyone know more about the switch at Remington Rand or know who the people to contact are that know more about this area. 1911's are not my area of expertise, but I know I am on to something with this one.

How about showing us some good photos of the pistol? Most pistols in that range are Du-Lite, but there are known Parkerized pistols prior to that serial range.

Here are two NIB RRs in the 101 range that have Dulite finish.
