Both guns are new to me this week. I went to the shop to get the MAS and ended up with the BSA Martini also.

Cant complain about the groupin. Make good squirrel guns
The Mas 45 was imported back in the mid-80's by Navy Arms, perhaps others. I got mine in June 86 for 135 bucks. Same new condition as yours. At the time a Navy Arm's salesman told me "they" imported 2000 of them. Some were used but good condition and some had walnut stocks. Navy sold them with an extra magazine, frt. sight hood, sling included.
They were made at the Oberndorf Mauser works (French zone) after the war. It is the KKW action with a magazine, instead of single shot. I was going to made a deluxe sporter out of it but never got around to it (thank goodness!)
Thanks to LTC for the original post with the nice pix.......... I'm like smokey.....either one of these fine little rifles will make an excellent small game rifle...... good shooting too sir..
And to dave, thank you sir for the excellent additional information on the lil Mauser..............
You are welcome. "Sir" is un-necessary, when I was in I worked for a living. hehehe!
