Has anyone ever seen an '03 like this before?

Thoughts?
Yes .. the surely would have used a WWI RIA receiver, with a 1927 dating SA barrel and mounted a WWII Garand scope mount to a M1903 .. funny thing, nevertheless.

I have not seen one of those before. Without authenticating documentation, the rifle is nothing more than a conglomeration of parts.

That is exactly what I figured. I just wasn't sure how industrious its creator was and if more than one of these was floating around out there.

The stippled buttplate MIGHT indicate USMC provenance...it would be interesting to see if the "Hatcher hole" is present. Hard to tell with just one photo posted and an incomplete s/n. Maybe I'll just send him $1650 and figure it out when it arrives. NOT.

agree with John on this...without something to prove it...its a pipe dream at best
