Thanks to a friend giving me first refusal, I was able to pick up a 4 digit 2" Colt Commando in great condition. The 2" is second rarest of U.S. WWII handguns with <3500 produced.

Good score . I love USGI WW1 and 2 revolvers . I have a low 5 digit one myself in about the same condition . I paid $850 for it back in '02 and was glad to get it . My minty 4-inch ran $600 in '01 . What , may I ask , are they going for now ?

Here's mine.
I had a 2" that lettered with a 4" barrel. BEWARE. I think the one jackthedog has for sale will bring close to $2500

Many of the 4" were rebarrelled after WWII.. The site and barrel legend are different on post war barrels.

I have seen the post war bbl's and the one I sent back to the seller had the correct bbl and front site just like the one pictured.
