Received this email today from Bob Beach at Griffin and Howe.

Dear Mr. Smith,

I reviewed your photos today with Paul Chapman and Paul said that while your custom rifle appears to be beautifully made, it is not a product of Griffin & Howe. After considering the shape of the forearm, the cheekrest, th style of checkering, the grip cap, etc., Paul thinks that it may have been made by Al Biesen or, perhaps, S.A. Leonard, or Leonard & Hyde. Unfortunately, the man who could best identify the rifle passed away earlier this year. That man would be Michael Petrov. BTW, Many of Mr. Petrov's firearms are going up for auction tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday at Amoskeag Auctions in Manchester, New Hampshire. Here is a link if you would like to have a look.

I'm sorry that we don't have more information or something definite for you. Thank you for the inquiry.

Regards,
