While pursuing one of my other hobbies I got a surprising reminder that almost all of the WW2 carbine manufacturers had civilian jobs before and after the war. It was kind of startling to see the Inland "house" on something other than a trigger housing...

Notice also the ultra-rare 7 digit serial number starting with "9" :icon_wink:

serial # 97(4?)9758 what is it on? A stock? I can't tell from the photo........ Inland Guidelamp, a parts manufacturing division of GMC also made some, if not all of the M3's & M3A1 grease gun submachine guns I believe and also the Liberator pistols..... the very crudely made, smooth bored,.45ACP single shot handguns......... intended to be air dropped/ smuggled in to resistance groups in Europe.

Gimp, The serial number Tristan listed is on a steering wheel. Many Liberator pistols also went to places like the Philippines too. An Inland division also made helmets in their stampings plant. Inland made may things during the war.
