GREAT... supposed to be pet LOAD.. cant fix it either with edit!!
Since I can't get varget, I bought 10 pounds of this stuff.
It doenst meter as well as varget.
I'm using once fired LC Brass
Large STD rifle winchester primers
and 147 grain FMJ and/ or
150 BTSP Hornady
I loaded up 45.0, 44.5, 44.0 and 43.5 loads
was going to test them last week in my M1A withe my Oehler 35 P chronograph.
Well, I put some 38's and 44 spcls through the Chrono.
I friend put his .223 thorough it.
we were picked up brass and all was well with the world,
when I went to get out the M1A my friend says, Hey, what's with this, and my sky screen upright was shattered. It WASN'T when we fired the last shot.
So... I didnt get to test those.
TODAY, my sky screen uprights arrived. I bought 6 (all of em) new just in case they got brittle with age. I"ve had the unit since about 1985 or so and NEVER shot a sky screen or had a problem.
Go figure!!
Anyone GOT a pet load they want to share with me using IMR 4064 in the 7.62 Nato case with 150 grain bullets??
BTW... I was using 45.0 grains of Varget with the 150's and they were EXACTLY 2760 almost (within 20 FPS or so if I recall).
The powders are on the same burn rate almost.
