No, it wasn't, it was a Russian Capture, with Arsenal replacement parts, barrel was rusted.

It shoots rather well, I was surprised how accurate it was with a $80 barrel.

Nice rifle and the pre war K98 actions are a fine piece of machining.

they are so smooth, and the have a solid sound when they latch
