View Full Version : ideas on the refinishing of this rifle?
Could anyone please offer some insight or ideas about the finish on this rifle? Was it done in the 1930's? 20's? 40's?.
Thanks.

The photos do not have sufficient color rendition to make any conclusive statements about finish. The most logical explanation of what I see is that the rifle is a collection of assorted parts that were assembled in Bubba's workshop. And some of the parts were refinished by Bubba. And some were not.
If somebody has an RIA NRA sales rifle that needs a stock, the gunbroker rifle has one. Not cheap.
Hope this helps. Merry Christmas!

Thanks for your information John! Yes, the rifle most certainly does appear to be assembled recently.
That IS a nice stock isn't it?
