Selling my National Match 03A1 Springfield. Excellent condition, approximately 95% original finish. Most wear is on the front sight base where a snap on front sight cover probably wore it off. All expected stamps are where they should be including the D.A.L. cartouche and circle P proof.
Serial number is 1348623 and is properly electropencil etched into the bright bolt. Serial number is also stamped into the bottom edge of the stock. Bbl date is 3-30.
I have a copy of the Springfield Armory sales card and a letter from Springfield Research Service verifying that the rifle was sold as a true National Match rifle.
The only variance from factory original is the fact that a previous owner appears to have relieved the very front edge of the pistol grip. Perhaps this was to accommodate a larger than average hand. It's not all that noticeable and has absolutely been there a long time.
Sale also includes P. J. O'Hare brass front and parkerized rear sight covers just as pictured on page 447 and 448 of Brophy respectively. Also included is a P.J. O'Hare micrometer as pictured on page 450 - 451 of Brophy.
Price for all of this is $3,850 shipped in the lower 48. Three day non-firing inspection. Buyer pays return shipping.
