They look laminated to me? Are these as good as the machined trigger housings?

In my opinion, as good, yes. There are differences in fit and finish, and feel. I think the milled is a bit heftier, heavier, thicker trigger guards. But the stamped laminated types appear to have better front lugs.
A lot of the manufactures used both types.
Yes they are as good as the machined ones. Underwood started out with machined and switched over to the type 4 during production. IBM only used the type 4 for all of their production. Production was faster using the stamped housing and less man power was needed over all.
I've never seen a laminated one, but I don't have a Underwood either. Have a IBM, SG and Inland.
If you have an original IBM trigger housing then you have one. Stamped or laminated it's the same thing.
