After a rifle has been parkerized what actions need to take place to protect to finish?

A light coating of oil rubbed in to the finish will work fine.

I use molybdenum grease, some just call it moly grease, and I rub it in by hand and leave it for a few hours before I wipe it off.
There's a lot of witchcraft pertaining to post park procedure. A little grease or oil or some exotic voodoo.
When you pull the parts from the solution immediately rinse(I just use tap water)and blow dry. I actually use a bunch of used ATF and two stroke motor oil(abut five years old now)that I heat up in a little kettle. Dump the parts in and simmer for about 10 minutes. Let sit overnight on a rag. Not much oil to wipe off the next day; its surprising how much is absorbed.

All parkerizing does is provide a surface treatment to hold oil or grease. The oil and or grease protects from rust. If it's a new park job, I just use beating grease from the auto parts store.
