I'm not doubting it's original and as described, but shouldn't there be a flaming bomb?

Nope. Not on VietNam guns. That gun is right as rain.

But does it have a swivel on the stock? I asked the seller, he hasn't replied. Only 4 pics. of a gun with a buy now of $6500 and no returns is a red flag for me.

I carried a shotgun for a bit. I wish I would have paid more attention to what it was. For ammo we had buck shot and beehive rounds. Been really neat if I could have sent it home.

I have no problem at all with the gun, but the $3000 high bid was more than enough, I personally see it as a$2500 gun.
VN guns do not generate the collector interest of WWII guns, and it is not yet C&R, (soon probably) which tends to increase the interest.
The $3K offer was more than fair. The owner can ask whatever he wants, but the market will dictate in the end.

I don't think the lack of a rear swivel is an issue. I have data on a couple of other guns in the same serial number range that are exactly like this gun --- they have the front swivel but not the rear one.

I agree. No rear swivel is correct.

I have seen several 1960's Police Issue trench guns new in the box. They are basically identical. The screw in swivel is in the box, but not installed.

In a long ago post Marine A5 snipers said shotguns were hard to come by and everyone wanted one.
